I'm hand-quilting my first quilt, and I discovered that one of the pieces of fabric has frayed. The quilt hasn't even been USED yet, and this fabric has frayed. Lesson learned. Only quality fabric from now on.
What are your favorite online fabric shops? What should I look for online to determine whether a fabric is quality? Is there a thread count I should look for? Any code words for people in the know? |

It's not the shop, it's the fabric manufacturer. You want to identify good brands of fabric. Having said that, Connecting Threads has their own line and it gets good reviews, and it's very affordable.
