Recently, (I don't remember what thread) I read that someone goes to GW and buys Hawaiian print shirts to use for quilting fabric. I was shopping today and decided to see what I could find. I bought 3 shirts at GW! But, I'm afraid I won't get much fabric out of them..... Hubby promptly claimed them as his when I brought them home LOL

Ok, but please note, some Hawaiian shirts are very valuable if they have the right label. So a good find at the GW could be a really great find too.

I say chop them up in the car the next time lol

All fabric stash stays in the trunk until no one home, then sneak in the beautiful fabric, or GW finds, add them to your existing stash, and there you have an instant stash builder. If hubby notices the stash getting larger blame it on the fabric fairies.

At least cut the collar off before you bring them into the house. :-)

I like Hawaiian shirts on men, so the stash would get second choice if there was a man around here. JoAnn's has some gorgeous tropical cottons that sewed up nicely in the apparel section. They were $6.99, but with a half off sale, were only $3.50 a yard.

They would be safe at my house. My husband would not put one on. LOL
