If so could someone tell me about them? Is it like paper piecing? I love the name Quilt Patti but need more information than I found at this website. Thank you so much.

They are templates for making the Grandmothers flower garden. This pattern is done by hand and is a great take along project.

It isn't like PP but you do fold the fabric over the template and give it a qiick press to set the shape then you slip stitch the folds in place and remove the template for the next one. I'm sure there are tutorials if you do a search.
They are beautiful quilts! Below is a simple tutorial.

The are pre-cut plastic (or stiff paper) octagons used for making a Grandmother's Flower garden (GFG). I started saving my plastic lids a few months ago and I will cut my own though. Not a matter of snobbery, just financial.

Thanks guys so much. I've done the paper but was curious how this was different.

yes, I love them and going to be buying more of them (love the plastic ones)

I tried the plastic ones and the paper ones. I liked the paper ones better because they bend. Makes it easier to assemble when they bend and also to transport. You have to leave the outside pieces in until all sides are sewn.

you can get patti's for many besides grandmas flower gardens- i have them for about 5 different sizes of tumbling blocks= diamonds- triangles-
they are a bit expensive-compared to paper templates- but will last a long long time-and some may find them easier to use than paper
