The red border, then make your binding from a tiny poka-dot or print. Maybe black w/cream.

Unless you want to add a border to make the quilt larger, I'd suggest leaving it as is--it looks great.

I agree with a red and white check, would give it a country look.

I think red with a little white fleck or something in the boarder
