I washed the horse jacket...
I pre-washed and dried EVERYTHING! Even with a piece of muslin and NO dye transfer. None!! I washed the horse jacket... The red dye transferred to the horse fabric, but NOT the gray ???? Any ideas of how to pull this out??? It's still soaking, even with a color catcher... the jacket BEFORE the jacket NOW... soaking to keep it wet... Color catcher in the washer is all I know... and since it is red would cold water help ?

oh no, I hope you can get it out

There is a product called Synthrapol that should help. You should be able to purchase it at a quilt shop. Then wash again with the color catchers.

I wish you well ... color catcher normally works well.

Oh, no! I love that jacket, too! Sure hope you can get it out!

Synthrapol might work. It requires hot water, and it can take several washings to get all the unwanted color out. Amazon has it, and many quilt shops carry it now.

Call Dharma trading company? They've got some good products that fabric artists use. Definitely change that water it is soaking in a couple times (never hurts to dilute!).

I haven't tried this yet, just rec.'d it this week, but I was told about this hard bar laundry soap to get out a dye run. Fels Naptha. I can't tell you anything about this but was told that a lady had a zebra print that the black ran, and she used this and got all of the black out of the white. I have a quilt I am going to use this on. I couldn't find this soap around here, but I found it on Ebay and ordered a bar. Anything is worth a try. Gerbie.

Also try Oxyclean...I know that works to get dye runs out, because I've used it on all kinds of fabrics.
