I am using Bonnie Hunter's Strip Twist pattern. Thought I was clever to use up scraps. I did not realize my "lights" would read as "mediums" due to the designs in them.
I am considering making more blocks using more creams and off whites, then making two quilts so that half of these blocks will be used in the second quilt. Would that cut down on the busy-ness? Any suggestions would be welcomed! The second pic is a close up of what I am referring to with the lights and mediums. WIP Strip Twist |
I like it just as it is. Love Bonnie Hunter's quilts.

I think it looks great the way it is! I don't see too many that don't read as lights, so I think you're okay.

I see what you mean. I think I would make more and then use the leftovers for a second quilt.

I'm a huge fan of scrap quilts. I love it. I think when you border it all the way around that it will be stunning. I find with scrap quilts it is best to not analyze it too much:)

I love it as is, it seems to me to have great movement and a 3d appearance.

I'm sorry you are not happy with it. I really like it, you have done a lovely job. Do you have a reducer? look at it thru that. If not, squint. I think you will find they look med to you because you are close to it.
