Elizabeth, I like the Wintergraphix pattern, but I LOVE the XO,The Cat Pattern! I want to make my cat, Pandora, her very own quilt and have been looking at various patterns and fabrics, but none so far have seemed to reflect her "purrsonality" until I saw this combo of pattern and fabric. Now I'm on the hunt for this fabric also. Thanks a lot! LOL

I have a lexmark printer also. When i first tried to install it, it wouldn't work either. But...........I went on the internet, downloaded new drivers for it and it worked just fine. I burnt the new drivers to a cd and now when I have to reinstall, I just use that cd and it always works. Just type in lexmark.com (I think!) and it should list the downloadable drivers. Hope this helps.

Norton, has it on sale in their "fabric attic" but it's still over $8 http://www.norquilt.com/default.asp, I was trying to find it for less money, but all I would find were fat quarters that cost more, so I made dh promise that when he finds a job he will get some for me, so I have to have my fingers crossed until then. It comes in three colors, red, black, or blue, though my favorite was the blue.
I was amazed by that Wintergraphix pattern, I think because of the scale it would be easier with each round of blocks. :D |
The exact link for the blue is http://webstore.quiltropolis.net/sto...3&Item_ID=8690

Thanks Cresha, but my husband did that, he even called them when it wouldn't work, and they explained rather rudely that that printer had never supported Win 98, it's a real shame I don't know someone who could write a driver for me.

I would suggest going to your local library, if they have a computer lab, you can pull up the site and pay pennies per sheet to print the copy. I wouldn't wait too long, as they probably rotate patterns on their site. Let me know if this works.

a lot of patterns come in adobe format to prevent the cut and paste methods...Loretta is right to save in a file on your desktop. To begin a new folder, click on your desktop and right click your mouse or fingerpads (laptop). You can rename your file by clicking on the "new folder" and send all your patterns to it until you find a compatible printer.
I've seen several older printers at garage sales lately, probably due to(*&#$(*&(#*$&@! Vista (LOL MOONPI) updates. I do have Vista as well...since I didn't have a choice. Bought a new laptop and hired a tech to change it back to XP to no avail. Can't downgrade the new stuff and can't upgrade a good part of the older or any of our sewing software/hardware. |
Oh yes, I know about quilterscache, you can't be here at the board for very long without hearing about quilterscache, Bebe brought me into the loop about a month go, it took a little getting used to but now it's a dream of creative ideas waiting to be tapped!
