Have been reading your comments for some time now and have gotten so much helpful information....you are awesome!! I finally decided to ask for your help myself...I made this crazy quilt and am going to machine quilt it. My question will meandering look ok or should I use some type of design?

I think a meandering or loose stipple would be a fun way do deal with the crazy blocks.

If I were doing it, I would use straight line quilting on the sashing -- probably 3 or 5 parallel lines in each sashing row, forming small squares in the intersections. It would make a nice contrast to the "free" and randomized blocks.

Another idea you could try, depending on your comfort level in free motion quilting, would be to hide a doodled shape in each block, probably in the larger, center block area. So it would give it a little bit of an "I-spy" flavor -- find the flower shape, the fish, the house, the car, etc.

I agree--meandering would look great on that. Beautiful quilt.

I like the idea of a little shape in each block, and you could also use a border design in the sashing, quilting it separately from the blocks. How wide is the sashing?

Thanks! My DH thought meandering would look best but wanted some other opinions...thought of putting something in the center blocks but wasn't sure what but RST had some great ideas! The sashing is 2 1/2".
