I was wondering this morning just how much quilting everyone is able to do. How many hours a week or per day are you able to spend on your passion? I know there is never enough time in the day for me to do what i want but i manage to sew more on the week-ends than any other time. How about you guys?

For me, it depends on the weather. Hot & humid? I'm in sewing if possible. Freezing? Same story ;-)

Some days I can sew most of the day other days life interrupts my fun.

As many as I can.....I sew on my machine on weekends and hand quilt in the evenings after work.

I'm able to sew 24/7
Rarely these days have I been in the mood to sew - by machine or hand
Have been sorting and cutting for 2 months, but no sewing.

Not enough! lol

Its broken up throughout the day - 20 min here, 30min there during naps or quiet time. After the kids go to bed, I can sometimes get a solid hour in. I'm working on something like "warm wishes", so I'm piecing strips for cutting...I've had to leave half sewn strips sitting on my machine for hours before I could get back to it lol.

It depends on several things...my mood, everybody else's expectations on my time (some I can control, others not so much), how frustrated I've gotten with the project I'm working on at the moment/how excited I am about starting a new project, how much time I spend on this board getting new ideas or just enjoying everyone else's work...but in general at least a little while almost everyday, some days 2-3 hours or maybe even more on occasion.

I spend as much time as I feel. My DH is great about fixing him something to eat if he gets hungry. I have to be in the sewing mood or I will spend all my time "unsewing".

Luckily I have a DH that is understanding about my addiction to quilting so I sometimes spend as much as 10 hours a day in my quilting studio. I am really lucky, he helps with making dinner and keeping the kitchen clean.

DH works 7 on 7 off. So every other week I can sew almost all I want. The other week I don't get as much time to sew, but manage to get some in most days.

it varies-but as much as I can.I have health issues so sometimes I go weeks without sewing/quilting.when I feel good it is all I do,all all I think about and dream about.I am a junkie and I am ok with that
