Sounds like the Crayola folks should be advertising at the LQS

Frixion pens work extremely well for marking fabric too. When you iron the fabric the ink disappears. HONEST. You can buy these pens at Staples.

The things a person learns here! Thanks for sharing your experience. Probably never would have crossed my mind!

Thanks also for sharing your tip.

I've mentioned using the washable pens several times--just not the Crayola brand. I get mine at the "Everything's a Dollar" store...20 diff colors in pkg for $1. They are great!

I hadn't heard about that either. I once used yellow green chalk on a quilt and it didn't wash off. I had used it go mark stars. So I then marked the stars with yellow. Figured if the chalk didn't wash off on this material make the stars yellow at least.

Talking about marking a quilt, has anyone used freezer paper to free motion quilt a design? If so, does the paper come off in the wash? I hate ripping it off because its ripping off some of my stitches no matter how much I try holding the stitches down.

I am a Dollar Store user also. I buy their washable markers and use them on my fabric and they have always washed out.

What an awesome tip Dragonomine! Thanks for sharing!! I have yet to find a marking pen I'm truly happy with, so I'm going to give this a try. :)
