How neat my mom has one of these except it doesn't have the legs on it. It was the neatest thing ever as a kid to find and look through all the hidden treasures she had in it.

butterflies5518 01-01-2012 03:46 PM

That is sweet - I did not know there was such a site - I am a sucker for auctions! Great buy, enjoy!

lfstamper 01-01-2012 03:48 PM

Congrats and enjoy!

Tink's Mom 01-01-2012 03:49 PM

how cool!!! My Grandma had one....I wonder what my Grandfather did with it...he got rid of so much stuff that I would have kept....

ptquilts 01-01-2012 03:51 PM

wow, nice!! I bet you will fill that up in a heartbeat!!

nhweaver 01-01-2012 03:56 PM

Wow, congratulations. It will make a great place to organize all your sewing "stuff". It looks like it is in excellent condition.

Val in IN 01-01-2012 03:59 PM

Congrats on your great win! I've actually been looking for one of these. One of these days I'll find one too:)

sewwhat85 01-01-2012 04:31 PM

mighty 01-01-2012 04:37 PM

That is really a great find!!!

zipit 01-01-2012 05:10 PM

Congtratulations! I have one of those and they are pretty neat.

Dyan 01-01-2012 07:02 PM

I have one of those in my basement...Last time I looked in it, still has my crochet hooks, that I don't use anymore.

quiltingcandy 01-01-2012 07:08 PM

Congrats! I have one that my folks bought me 35 years ago. I just love it.

karen924 01-01-2012 07:16 PM

I paid $40 for one at an antique shop and it is no where near as nice as yours. Good Buy!!!!!

Wine Woman 01-01-2012 07:19 PM

Congratulations! I bought mine from a garage sale filled with the ladies mothers things! I really like it especially sitting next to my treadle machine. They sure are a nice addition to a sewing area.

pscott392 01-01-2012 07:19 PM

Good for you. I have the exact same one.

Alli 01-01-2012 07:26 PM

I bought one of these at a garage sale recently. Mine does not have legs. It was made in Poland (says so on the bottom.) I am working on stocking it up. Have fun!

sammy89 01-01-2012 07:32 PM

I have the same in my sewingroom, got it at my local goodwill for 9.99 but its been a few years ago

bluteddi 01-01-2012 07:41 PM

I freq shop my local GW.... but I have issues with their tendency of high shipping and a handling charge , even if it is local and I wish to pick up......
I still roam their auctions.. but so far, haven't found anything I wish to pay their extra fees for, but thats just me....... happy shopping!@!!

jaciqltznok 01-01-2012 07:44 PM

and for a GREAT price too!

pinkberrykay 01-01-2012 08:05 PM

I was looking at that too, and thought about bidding on it. CONGRATS to you.

debbieumphress 01-01-2012 08:16 PM

Great find DUblb. I think you should bring it to retreat and I know someone would love to relieve you of it. LOL. It is so pretty. I love it. Zipit has one too?????? OK so maybe I need to find one for moi......see you soon . HUGS

DonnaB 01-01-2012 08:20 PM

Very nice. Thanks for the idea, didn't know Goodwill had an online auction site.

frugalfabrics 01-01-2012 08:30 PM

beautiful win!

3NorwichTerr 01-01-2012 08:43 PM

Very cool. I have a smaller one that doesn't have legs that a friend at work gave me when cleaning out her mother's stuff. She wanted it to go to to someone who would use it. I love it.

dublb 01-01-2012 09:23 PM

Thanks Ya'll! I'm so excited about it! I can't wait till it comes home. :) I did pay too much for shipping, but I wanted it so much. I look at GW often & regularly put things on my watch list, but usually don't bid 'cause of shipping. I really wanted this sewing cabinet a-lot. I almost missed it. I forgot when the auction was supposed to be over & when I checked on it there was only 15 min.s left! I just got in under the wire.
Hey Debbie- I don't think that it will fit in my big truck for the trip. I guess that I have to leave it at home. :D Seriously, I can't wait till March. See ya then. {Hugs}

tenngal 01-02-2012 01:58 PM

Very nice! I buy a lot from Goodwill online. Only had to return one item.

WI SANDY 01-02-2012 07:14 PM

Congrats! You're going to love it. I bought the same one this fall at a thrift shop.

Krystyna 01-03-2012 04:52 AM

I just love those boxes! I have two of them and have been meaning to put them up on Etsy. Enjoy!

sweet 01-03-2012 04:58 AM
