I have a travel iron, and was wondering if anyone else uses them for seams. I am making a log cabin and think this would be great to use

I have one, works great on seams and just about anything thing else I need it for. Its not my "go to" iron, but it I've got no complaints.

I use a travel iron with a small pressing board next to my sewing machine for pressing the seams on blocks and small pieces. For the final pressing of the quilt I use my bigger board and iron.

I have a travel iron and a Hobbico iron that I love for seams and paper-piecing.

I have one I take to classes and retreats. I have a gravity feed iron at home.

I just bought my second Rowenta travel iron. I love it for seam pressing on my blocks. I do use a full size when pressing a large piece of fabric or quilt top, but the much smaller and lighter travel iron is great for piece work.

After trying several irons, big to mini, one day I pulled our travel iron out, which seldom got used traveling, & have been using it ever since! Love it! It's an old Black & Decker one, & if it ever dies, I intend to go find another one! Love it! Handle folds flat, with hold water for steam, & even have a bag for it, to take it camping!....

Never thought of using it with the small ironing board. I have one in the camper; have to go bring it back in the house!

I've used one next to my machine for years. I don't bother with putting water in it because the water tank is so small, so I just keep a spray bottle handy.

I have a travel iron that folds up...I love it and use it when I am able to...one retreat I go to a year doesn't allow anyone to use them, but the other one I go to does. I also have a Hobbico iron that I haven't used lately, and a Clover iron. I have used that one when I do the "mock hand applique" to press the edges of the fabric around the freezer paper. Even the Hobbico iron is too big to do that.
