Well, is this the first website you go to when you get online? Anyone else addicted? I even forget to check my e-mail anymore.

No, it's not bad at all. It's good to find good friends. I can think of many other much worse addictions! LOL!

Okay I have a question and I have noticed that you guys have good answers. I am finishing up a quilting project that I started 20 years ago. My question is this. I didn't know what I was doing back then and have knots on the back where I used embroidery thread and couldn't pull the knot through. My blood sweat and tears are in this piece and my daughter is after me to finish and give to her. What do I do about the ugly back.

you could pull out the stitching and start that part over. (too much work.)
you could add a new back to cover up the old one, then tack , tie or add some more quilting to hold it in place. (less work, covers up all the original work)
or ... you could scatter some applique motifs around the back to cover the knots (less work and very different. people will think you are quite the innovative artiste. :P )

Thanks, I like the thought of the applicay (sp) It is a little girls quilt and maybe strawberry short cake or hello kitty something like that would be cute. See I knew you guys had good answers. Thanks a bunch.

What if you could get one of those "cheater panels" for the back. I don't know how big your quilt is, but you could add extra to it to make it bigger...then tack it to the already there back. ??? I saw a Strawberry ShortCake panel...
Or, I like PatriceJ's idea of applique` . That would be pretty.
Either way, it would kind of be reversible! :D
Good Luck!!!!

I still check my email, however this is the second place I go. Do not have many messages, but enjoy reading all everyone else has to say and also learn some things at the same time.

Oooooooo, I like that idea also. I never thought of it being reversible.
