Kudos to Connecting Threads

What a great company! Received my order the other day and found two small holes in one of the fabrics. I emailed them, and they're shipping a replacement. Told me to just discard the damaged fabric. I don't remember right off if the holes were in a half yard or a full yard cut but there is still plenty of useable fabric after cutting away the damaged area. I'm also finishing up a kit I bought from them a year ago and it's been a pleasure working with the fabrics. Another plus is that they always have ample yardage in their kits. Love Connecting Threads!

Connecting Threads has great customer service!

w7sue 12-31-2012 03:43 PM

I like shopping at Connecting Threads too - they do have great customer service and you are right about their kits - they have never been short. I also like that I can purchase any additional fabric at the same time (backs) and their prices are reasonable!

wishfulthinking 12-31-2012 04:46 PM

Yes, yes, yes! on the prices!

Deb watkins 12-31-2012 04:49 PM

I order from them frequently!! Love the customer service.

BellaBoo 12-31-2012 05:18 PM

I buy most all of the clearance kits at CT. I don't care about the pattern, the fabric in the kits is the bargain.

wishfulthinking 12-31-2012 05:23 PM

Great idea BellaBoo! The kit I'm finishing was a clearance from last year & I just couldn't resist the price.

I have ordered lots of threads from Connecting Threads and some batting. I order mostly when they have sales. They have very good sales. I love their thread but have only ordered a couple of fabrics--but they were very nice. They have good service but the orders do take longer to come in the mail then when I have ordered from other companies.

Iamquilter 01-01-2013 06:10 AM

I also like their service. Ordered two kits last year of one of their baby quilts and received enough fabric to make three quilts . Don't have a problem with anything taking longer than usual.

Great place....Great service...Great products!!!!

Tink's Mom 01-01-2013 07:41 AM

They are a wonderful company...love their fabrics and prices....my ONLY complaint is that I would like to see the fabric shipped a little quicker....

SouthPStitches 01-01-2013 07:41 AM

They are definitely my go-to company. Last month, I had ordered 5 yards of fabric. Got an email from customer service stating that they were sold out and would not be getting anymore of that particular fabric. I decided to substitute another and was emailed once again that they were waiving the shipping cost for me, since they weren't able to provide my original choice. They didn't have to do that! With the high price of fabrics, CT is wonderful for building your stash. I also like their thread.

wishfulthinking 01-01-2013 08:57 AM

Wow! That's incredible! That makes me remember...a recent order I made from Fabric.com somehow never got filled and I had to call three times to get the order placed after that. In the end, they overnighted my order for free. After a pretty bad glitch, they came through in good way!

topstitch 01-02-2013 04:25 AM

I love them and their great customer service also

jstorm67 01-02-2013 04:43 AM

I had the same thing happen to me. I bought 6 different fabrics to make my husband a quilt. It was about 3 months before I actually opened the fabric and when I did I found 1 with a hole in it. I emailed them they sent me another full yard of the same fabric. They are awesome. I will order from them again and when I get it I will open it right away to see if any of the fabric is flawed

MaryKatherine 01-02-2013 04:49 AM

They have my orders exclusively. I have never had a problem, their prices are reasonable and their shipping policy to Canada is sterling. They are the only american supplier I buy from. (except when I TRAVEL to Penn.)

They are one of my favorite places to shop.

luci4 01-02-2013 05:23 AM

I have ordered from them and have not had a problem with shipping time.

coopah 01-02-2013 05:45 AM

It's a company that does well in all areas. They are the only ones I use when shopping online. I have always been happy with the quality and the quickness of shipments. :-)

kydeb 01-02-2013 06:00 AM

Yep! I love Connecting Treads too! I use their thread and have ordered kits from them. The kits always have plenty of fabric! I haven't had any issues to call customer service for but I did call them before the first time I ordered the Essential Pro thread to try in my longarm. They were extremely helpful and told me that if I didn't like it, send it back and they would refund the money. Can't beat them!!

debbieoh 01-02-2013 06:04 AM

Connecting threads is a place you will nEVER be disappointed. Shame more sites don't follow suit with them

nygal 01-02-2013 06:12 AM

Yes, Connecting Threads is great. They are the sister company of a yarn online site "Knit Picks" and they are just as good. Both places know me well.

Phyl 01-02-2013 06:25 AM

They are friendly, responsible, and carry wonderful stuff. I have ordered several times and am always happy. I highly recommend them!

aunt eunice 01-02-2013 07:10 AM

I love their Essential Pro threads, sold longarm machine thread but also are great piecing threads. It's 70 wt. poly, comes in lots of colors, where else can you get 3315 yds of thread for $6! I have every color. prefer it over their cotton thread, less lint.

Wintersewer 01-02-2013 07:20 AM

I used to like them. I had several items in my basket and left the site and when i came back I noticed that the batiks I had in there that were on sale are NOW full price!!!!! That's a first!!! Yes, I did email them 2 days ago but have not heard anything back from them.

AzSailor 01-02-2013 08:43 AM

Connecting Threads will send a #35 box of material for your "Charity Sew Projects" for the shipping price of $30. We sent for two boxes for our local quilt show where we give bags to volunteers and students and I couldn't lift one by myself. I think they were more like #50. It was full of the materials left after putting together the kits and most of it was pretty large. You have to give them a non-profit ID number which your chapter should have and you can get one per month. I'm a big fan of CThreads also. Happy New Year everyone.....

mrs. fitz 01-02-2013 08:46 AM

Excellent company. Happy New Year to the people at Connecting Threads.

Tkx.. I am going to look see ...

I ordered fabrics from CT at end of November. They were delivered to a US address for me and forwarded on. I received package on Christmas Eve. One yd of fabric was the wrong, they told me to keep wrong fabric and they refunded the cost of the original fabric (did not want it sent out). Excellent customer service.

I also think highly of them, they give GREAT SERVICE no matter if it's an order their filling or answering a question it's done very professional but SUPER FRIENDLY. Can't say enough good about them.

fireworkslover 01-02-2013 01:34 PM

Last year I ordered some fabric and I didn't receive the correct ones. The red Batik was a faded red and white print. I called and they immediately figured out what had happened and sent me the correct fabric. I didn't have to ship back the wrong piece, she told me to keep it. Since it wasn't the kind of print I like, it's been used to practice fmq on. It was nice to get a free yard of fabric, tho.

dcamarote 01-02-2013 03:46 PM

I have used connecting threads several times in the past year and have never been disappointed with anything. I also save lots of money on their threads and materials. Great company.

sewdamncute 01-02-2013 05:29 PM

Thanks for the information, I have not ordered from them...yet!

linmid 01-02-2013 07:38 PM

Sorry guys but I had poor customer service one time from them and it is hard to forget how condescending the person was who answered my email. I complained about the quality of some fabric I had ordered and I was told that I didn't know what I was talking about, etc.
I still get all my threads from them, but it still irks me about the customer service. Thanks for letting me vent!

teddysmom 01-03-2013 04:01 AM

I also love CT. There customer service is way above the average. Love to order from them!

GypsyRse1 01-03-2013 05:41 AM

Absolutely the best company on the internet..... get this, I ordcered a closeout fat quarter bundle and 1 fabric was missing. I wrote to them and identified the missing fabric. Because that fabric was no longer available, they sent a new complete bundle.... WOW...love them
