Decisions ... decisions. I've just cleaned up my sewing room. Now do I do my mending which is piling up or ... do I sort and play in my stash? Problem is ... I've got more material than shelves and if I do the mending DH may just build me those extra shelves for my cutting table I've been pleading for ....

mend for the shelves

play with your stash ;)---then bake him some cookies --the shelves will come!

I vote for playing with the stash. I am not real fond of mending!!!! (my poor kids would always grow out of their clothes before they ever got mended, unless it was just a button)

mend the recent stuff, throw the rest out (he'll probably never miss it, tee hee). Then you'll have time for both AND get new shelves!!!

Just mend one thing , then at least you can say you are working on it.

My GF needed a large sweat shirt for a quilted jacket so she borrowed her hubby's favorite sweat shirt that was getting ragged and needed some mending. She made the Jacket and he commented on how pretty it was BLK/RED When he asked if she knew where his sweat shirt was she didn't have the heart to tell him that the jacket he admired was what he was looking for. She wears it on date night. he is still looking for his sweat shirt it has been 2 yrs. So look through the mending maybe you will find something to add to your finished quilted projects.

Put your mending in a bag and hide in a corner. Yeah it is time to play with your stash. Works for me.

"organize" your stash so you have more room to let the mending pile up!
