My pony came!

My boyfriend asked if it would be okay to get me one large present of something I really wanted instead of a bunch of little things. I said, "Okay. You can buy me a pony."

One day, he came over and asked if I wanted one of my Christmas presents early because I really needed it. I said, "Sure but bring some hay for the pony. I guess we can tie her up in the backyard for a few days until you can take her to the farm." (He lives on a farm.) He brought me a vacuum. Which I desperately needed and am so happy to have.

After that, he did mention a time or two again about a "big" present.

I've been working on a quilt and have been having some problems with the machine I'm using. He said, "Well, maybe your Christmas present will make it easier." Seriously? I already suspected but, seriously?? LOL Dead giveaway!!

So, my pony arrived on Christmas morning. Her name is Singer. She quilts. Her registered name is Singer Confidence Quilter 7469Q.

I haven't been home long enough since I received it to even take it out of the box!! I am so so sooooo excited! I've been using my grandmother's circa 1992, cranky machine for three or four years now. I can't wait to get at this machine!!!

A pony named Singer - how great! Kudos to the Boyfriend.

Just think of how much money you will save not having to buy hay, more to buy fabric. I want new pony.

I vote him a keeper too. Sounds like he really understands that a pony is a necessity.

Annaquilts 12-26-2011 06:12 PM

Giddy up on that pony cowgirl! Wow don't you love farmers. They are the best. Hehehehehe

The bonus of this pony ... you won't need hay or water for it ... or have to deal with the poop! :)

What a great guy, farmers are so smart and understand that the best gifts are our hearts desires that make our life easier! Now make him a farm themed lap quilt with ponies in it!!!

I have the exact "pony". Love everything about her except that I occassionally have a problem getting the bobbins to wind. Usually end up filling them on my Brother and using them in the Singer. Still wouldn't trade it! Lucky you and great boyfriend!

nhweaver 12-27-2011 05:46 AM

He is certainly a keeper. And has a sense of humor too!!!

coldquilter 12-27-2011 05:48 AM

I love the name of your pony, you better keep that BF for sure as he understands how important ponies are.

raedar63 12-27-2011 01:38 PM

Doreen 12-27-2011 02:05 PM

Yes, he is a keeper!!

rubia 12-27-2011 07:01 PM

I've known he was a keeper all my life. We met when we were 13. When I was 15, he told me he wanted to marry me or someone just like me. We went our separate ways but finally reunited 25 years later. Never letting him go, pony or no pony. :)

nancia 12-28-2011 03:59 AM

dinlauren 12-28-2011 05:51 AM

What a wonderful, thoughtful boyfriend. He sure is a keeper. When's the wedding??? LOL

cheaha39 12-28-2011 05:56 AM

Cute story, a wonderful gift.

JoyjoyMarie 12-28-2011 06:22 AM

Sounds like it's time to saddle her up and ride off into the sunset! Have a great trip.

jaciqltznok 12-28-2011 06:36 AM

just so you know...your Singer might appear to be cheaper and easier to care for than a pony, but that is not so! Your Singer will require tons of toys to keep her happy, regular exercise daily to keep her happy, and weekly grooming to keep her healthy!
ENJOY!

BluegrassGurl 12-28-2011 06:39 AM

yippee kiyaaaa!!!! Keep hold of that BF, he is definitely a keeper. ;-)

vivoaks 12-28-2011 06:49 AM
