Hello everybody,
I have been collecting firefighter fabric and have around 8 different patterns that I would like to use in a quilt. I am having trouble finding a pattern that I can use using 8 or so different fabrics. I need a pattern that isn't really hard to do. I want it to be challenging but not real hard. I don't want it to take a real long time to make. I would love to hear ideas from all of you. Thank you, Judy |
Hi and welcome. How about a D9P or a railfence
|
I will try to post a pic of the fabrics I have. I think I need something with bigger pcs. Most of the fabric has bigger print than I would want to use in a D9P or railfence.

We call these Happy Blocks. They are a 4.5" center square, with a 2.5" by 4.5" strip on each side. Then an 8.5" by 2.5" strip on top and bottom. Very easy to make and can show off fabrics by fussy cutting. It makes an 8" finished block.

All of these ideas are awsome. Now to decide what to do. lol I have some fabric with flames on it that I could probably use as a sashing between blocks. So much to think about. I think that is the hardest thing for me..... trying to figure out what block or pattern to use.
