Need help

My son is graduating from Law School in May and I need help choosing a pattern for a quilt. Any suggestions? I am not a fast quilter and really want to have it done for graduation so I would need to complete it by the end of April. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you.

Hi Jean,

I was wondering if any of the tutorials below would be of any help? They are all simple patterns and look like they can be completed quite quickly? I hope this helps. Best of luck for getting it done by May. Let us know how you get on.

One that I like and is easy ~ http://www.quiltmaker.com/patterns/d...html?idx=5185_

If it was me I would look for some "law" type fabric or man-ly as my focal fabric.

I agree totally. Wonderful pattern for his achievements.

Log cabin is fast, did one in a month only working on it intermittently.

I just printed one out today from Quilt-Pro Systems block of the day called Bachelor's Puzzle that you might like. I know you are so proud of your son. My DSIL finished law school a year ago this past May and was lucky enough to get a good job on his first interview. I wish the same luck for your Son.

This is called Barrister's Block or Lawyer's Puzzle.

how about courthouse steps?

What wonderful suggestions. I knew I could depend on fellow quilters. I'll keep you apprised as I go along. My biggest obstacle is that I work 60 hours a week (and sometimes more). But I am determined. Who needs sleep anyway?

I like that idea. Wish I'd thought of it. :)
