Oh, I didn't even know you could do that stuff online. Sweet.

If I were to print and sell patterns and instructions, I'd still need something to draft them up. So far all the patterns for my designs have been drafted on someone else's EQ program.

Well, now you have some goals and things to work towards, you have to make a work plan now so you can work towards your goals. That will mean doing lots of research into how to achieve your goals, and also, having a job to finaincially aid you in achieving your goals. Sounds like you have a good plan here.

Barbs right. Could you learn to draw them up right? There is a free pdf program. But do you have a computer or do you use your mom's? I would start saving your designs and like Barb said think how to reach your goals. You found something (and I know other things) that you are really good at, and you enjoy it. That makes it even better! Oh by the way. EQ has contest periodically for disigns and other companies do too. I usually list them in leads. Next time I list one or know of one I will let you know. In the meantime do a quilt contest or sweepstake search. Just think if you won money for one of your designs then you could get the stuff you needed. :D You never know, just one way to try, along with lot's of others. :D

For the moment, I use the "family computer". I'm hoping to get my own laptop by the end of the year (just one of the 800 goals I have in mind) so I can do my art stuff and play video games whenever I want (its not easy to get into a PC game or get anything done when 4 other people use the same computer you do).

Draw up my own patterns by hand? Oh, God, no! It'd take me forever to draw one up and it would be nervewracking worrying if I drew everything accurately (believe me, I tried). I'd rather leave the drawing to a good computer program. I'd like to get EQ, but its totally out of my price range right now (not that I really have a price range anyways.)

Thanks for the info on the contests. I'll look into it when I have the chance (this week's gonna be busy).
