i am making valances for a few teachers classrooms.
one wants them only 9" long. how do i determine the lenght of the hem? they will have no backing. just a hem. the other sets were 17", and i did a 3" hem. |
For short valances, I usually just do them double with the seam at the top of the rod pocket.
That's how I do them too.
Ditto.
ok, so you mean to just double the fabric up,fold at the bottom, and the seams at the top where the rod will go.
