If you were only allowed to have two rulers, which ones would you pick?
A friend and I got into a debate about this today. I picked the 6"x24" and the 9 1/2 square. She wanted the 6"x12" instead of the square ruler. Kristy |

i'm with you on the 6x24 but i'd go for the 12.5 squaring.
you could always use the 12.5 to square a 9.5 block but you can't do it the other way around. |
I'm with Klue. Couldn't operate without 6X24 with lip, and 12" sq works for smaller pieces.

The first rulers I purchased were 6x24 and 12.5 square and that was a very long time ago...actually I had one before those that is 2x18 and not for rotary cutter use. If I could only have two rulers now, I'd have to check with my bee sisters to make sure we all chose different sizes to insure access to more of the many sizes that are available...how's that for teamwork? LOL Okay, just two? I'd go with the 6x24 and the 12.5...but I'd be trying every trick in the book to sneak in at least two more for sure!

6"X24" and a 12 1/2" square.
You will find these the handiest...nothing worse than having a ruler that is way tooo short :D:D:D |
It's interesting that you all love a ruler I don't own. I have a 3 x 18 cheapie thing that came in a starter kit. Maybe I should be looking into the 6 x 24 ruler.

It will make cutting out your fabrics so much easier :D:D:D

I have several great rulers, but the one I reach for most often is 8.5 x 24. When using a small cutting mat I like my little 6 x 12. I always keep the small mat and ruler next to my sewing machine.

I like my 6x24 and 12.5 sq.
