I feel like I often get burned by my iron, despite how careful I try to be. Does anyone have any tried and true remedies that work to help the healing process? Thanks in advance!

Ouch.. Hope you heal fast. I dont have any remedys but time. I steam the tips of my fingers sometimes when I am doing little strips and it hurts like crazy.

I think you can buy a mini iron thing...I don't know if it's an attachment or if it's just a mini iron but it's made for small seams and quilting :)

Then sit down and let the mustard work. |
I know they make fingertip covers so that you don't burn yourself again!

Quick, grab an ice cube. What you do right away makes the difference in how fast you heal.
Now try tilting your iron up so that the tip gets things ironed into place, then press. Really saves that steam burn to the finger tips. |
Aloe plant. Break off the tip and rub it on the burn.

You could ask your Dr. for a Rx for 'silver sulfadene' cream in a tube. Excellent for burns!
But ice water first, to cool everything down. Should you look at using a wooden clothespin to hold down those little pieces, to keep your fingers away from the iron? |
