Is Quilt Camp the same as a retreat?

np3 10-12-2010 08:01 PM

Could be. There are lots of different kinds of retreats.

I'd say yes.

It sounds like it. The only difference I can see is sometimes at a retreat you stay wherever you want, and at a camp you probably all stay together.

Sounds like it would be the same to me... maybe it is in a country/wooded setting? :D:D:D

Thank you for your reply. One of the ladies at the Lexington Quilt Show Saturday mentioned the quilt camp and not sure what she meant but.....the crowd was thick and I moved on.

Blessings,
Ruth

another gal on the board mentioned that they had a quilt camp where you brought your own food for meals during the day and went home to sleep at nite...so I guess a quilt camp can be anything you want...just like a retreat.

You would have to read the schedule. But in general, I would say yes.

My quilt group go away every year and hire a cottage in the country---very remote and we take our machines, our food ---and wine of course. We have a lovely time, sewing, walking or whatever anyone wants to do.

This is our outlook
