I find it a bit sad when businesses have to close. I worry that the less competition bigger companies have, the more we will see prices go up. I will have to check the website out, but with a tear in my eye.

It is really tough to run a shop. The overhead can be really high and costs have to be covered.
I have to keep reminding myself that I have to try and support my LQS even though online is easy and offers more variety.
I just talked to a shop owner that I found online and she is also planning on closing end of January. The shop is called Quilted Vine

Okay. I just ordered. My initial "want list" was over $140.00, but I was able to get it down to around $35.00. I just cannot keep buying more fabric when I have so much still to use. I see fabric and I think of all the beautiful quilts I could make, but in reality, I just don't have time to sew much right now. Bummer, because there are some absolutely LOVELY fabrics for sale.

Why is she closing? Are sales that bad?

I used to feel like a buzzard, when I shopped those kinds of sales, but having a friend who had to close her shop, she told me that it is a bitter blessing to recoup some cash.

What's their web address - I did thisnthatfabrics.com but I don't see quilting fabric.
