I get so many of those preprinted address labels sent to me and now I use them when I need to label or number fabric pieces. They stick on the fabric nicely and never leave a mark. (Really useful when doing a Pam Bono design LOL)

amandasgramma 01-11-2011 08:55 AM

Good idea! and I love your avatar!

Brandonsnana 01-12-2011 05:28 AM

I also use pre printed address labels when I go on Shop Hops for all the door prizes.

bbquilter 01-12-2011 05:32 AM

I like to carry them with me in case I have to fill out info on raffle tickets, door prizes etc, I use them to mark my patterns and quilt books too in case I borrow them out or take them when I teach classes.

Penny Schindler 01-12-2011 06:12 AM

I would also like to know the name of the pattern for you avatar...it is interesting....

sandpat 01-12-2011 06:26 AM

feffertim 01-12-2011 06:41 AM

It's in the fons and porter book called 'the complete quilters guide', fabulous book I got from the library and then bought a used copy on Amazon for $8.00. If you want to send me a see, I will copy it and mail you the pattern

great  :P

teacherbailey 01-12-2011 08:45 AM

I use the cheapie blank stickers that are about 500 in a pack from WalMart for about $3. I think they are meant for use as garage sale price stickers????? Anyway, I have them in several different colors, shapes and sizes and use them all the time for keeping pieces, blocks and rows organized as I go. Saves a lot of time being sure something is in the right place before sewing....and knowing me, it also saves a lot of time ripping stuff apart that was put together wrong!

Bluebonnet Sue 01-12-2011 09:09 AM

I use my address labels on all of my quilting tools so that when they are shared at a retreat or workshop they can also come back to me (by return address).

quilter64779 01-12-2011 12:21 PM

Oh! You get to go to the quilte show in OKC. I can't make it, so you will have to really enjoy it twice as much for those of us that can't. LOL Have a great time!!!

marlene tarzwell 01-12-2011 04:39 PM

I have taken those address stickers and ran over the address with white-out tape and then use them for whatever.

Is there a way to print off this tutorial without all the extra info down the side? I'm still not as comfortable on the computer as with my sewing machine!

Jill 01-12-2011 06:01 PM

I finally started throwing them away last year, since I knew I couldn't live long enough to use all of them! lol Thanks for the tip--now I have a reason to save them again.

blueheavenfla 01-12-2011 06:04 PM

Yes, highlight the part you want and go to the top left corner under file and click print. A box will come up where you will be able to select the word "selection". Do that and then click ok.
