I was reading the local ads today and saw an ad for football receiver's gloves which got me to thinking about the possibility of using them for FMQ. The ad says they are lightweight and breathable. I really haven't even seen a pair of these up close but DH tells me they are tacky on the palms. Anyone seen these or have any personal experience with using them for FMQ? Ann in TN

I use garden gloves with the little rubber dots on them. Works great and they are cheap

The quilting gloves work well, but they have rubberized fingers. That makes it a lot easier to guide the quilt. I use the cheap garden gloves from Wal-Mart.

Machingers gloves is what I found to be the best machine quilting gloves they're lightweight, affordable, and comfortable enough to wear all day.You can also hand sew with these gloves. What a difference they make...really!

I would think the football one's would be more expensive.

I've never heard of those. I've tried a couple of different garden gloves and didn't like them because they were too hot and didn't fit well. I LOVE my Machingers and they were well worth the $9 I paid. I use them every time I quilt.

They are very thin and have sticky ends where y0u touch the fabric. They come in various sizes and fit your hand, well like a fine glove. Great Product, and about $8 per pair if I remember.
I buy a bunch of them at one time so I always have a pair when one wears out.
