I buy from lorrie, too - she is quick to answer questions about fabric content, and laser cuts fabric as small as 1" wide at no additional charge. She also carries watercolor fabrics. I have always been pleased with things I've gotten from her. I pre-wash lengths in the sink and hang to dry, and have had no problems. I have her in my Favorites

Edited to correct - the secret of all that true grain cutting is not laser or die cutting - It is her hubby! Gotta love that teamwork.

Laser cutting is a commercial technique used in certain applications to cut through stacks of stuff, leaving each precisely alike, Very intricate cutouts can be found in gift shops with wood cut so thin as to resemble lace, all done with lasers

Miranda, What are you putting in your coffee??!! You are getting a little on the wild side lately. I love it!

Also, What is laser cutting, Moonpi?

mimisharon 09-01-2007 06:38 AM

I will say, since I'm just getting here after 2 pots of coffee...........I'm damned confused

BUT if any of you have the math right on the $2 or $3 a yard I'll take those jelly rolls to save my back aching.

HOWEVER, I don't want $39 a yard stuff. It would likely melt my wallet.....

Miranda, you been hitting Kathy's bottle??? Stripping in the yard may be ok for some but this old lady is past that stuff. My closet doesn't even seem safe enough for that!!

apparently, Miranda has found both her oats and the joys of feelin' them.

 My yard might just be safe enough. We're in the middle of nowhere, but I wouldn't really do that! (Well, not unless I had the chance.)
I'm just happy!
What?! Kathy has a bottle? Where does she keep it hid?! haha!
I'm not with it today, though....no coffee, yet...

Lorri is having a 3 day sale on her fabric strips ( the ones that are 21+ feet long) and yardage, just thought I would share her email with any who are interested.

i got my first order today. the fabric will be a challenge to work with because it's reeeeelllyy soft. but it's such a nice, silky soft i may just roll around in it and forget all about using it in quilts. LOL

very even weave. definitely cut on the straight of grain. colors and prints exactly as shown on the website. and speedy, reasonably charged delivery to boot!

if this stuff is seconds, i don't care if i ever get firsts. :-)

I am so glad you liked your order Patrice :D It is fun to share sales, good sites, etc... with everyone! I have picked up lots of fabric this way and I like it when you get a recommendation and don't have to fly blind.
You just enjoy your self and roll in your new fabric, just don't get mummified LOL
