I wish it was my scissors. They don't seem to get lost. I lose my glasses. I take them off because I see better without them when doing close up work, and I'm nearsighted. The seam rippers seem to walk off in a different direction when I put them down.

I use thread nippers when I am sewing and I was constantly misplacing (alright, loosing them)! I finally took a strip of fabric and tied them to my sewing machine!!! I wrapped the strip around my machine and I never had any trouble finding them. I no longer have them tethered to my machine as I have learned to put them down right by my machine when I am done snipping threads. If I start wandering off with them, I tie them to the machine again for a while!!

I had to laugh at this thread. When my oldest daughter was a toddler she used to play with my keys. I had to buy one of these key fobs. Mine when you whistled it would beep. good thing it did because she used to drop my keys in the trash - under the couch, etc.

I have 2 pair of nice Fiskar snips that are in hiding. Darn things must wanting a break but, they have been missing over a year. What ever you find to keep up with yours I guess I need too....lol

I have at least 10 pairs... I try to keep one by each machine and one on the ironing board, but every once in awhile, they all end up in the same place. I recently moved my studio, and have a big pottery thing that they are all in... and I have been really good about tidying up every time I am done sewing. It's so nice to sit down to sew and NOT have to clear a space before I can start

for those things that i can lose easily, like scissors and seam rippers, i have learned to always put them in the same place no matter where i am using them.
