Has anyone had service problems with Hancock's of Paducah? I've ordered from them in the past and always been pleased with their fabrics and service.
BUT when I ordered a few weeks ago, it took FOREVER
It took 7 business days before my order even moved through. After the 3-4th day of seeing it "sit" in the "warehouse" status, I made several calls and each time I was told No, there's no problem, no backorder etc - but "we can't track it once it's in the warehouse" (??) "it should ship out tomorrow" (which it didn't ... and didn't)
If I hadn't REALLY really needed this particular fabric, I would have cancelled
It finally left after 7 DAYS - then another week for shipping. Total -15 days from the date ordered ?? The Cust Reps were nice but all had the same excuse ...
Has anyone had this problem recently with H-P ??

No, I shop at Hancock's quite often, and have ordered from them online.
I am like you when I want something, I want it now!

Sounds like the same time they had the free shipping. That, and sometimes places get busy. Boy, I know how that is. I work in a factory, and we have to work OT to help with end of month push and a sale on the product I make.

No problems, I got my order in 9 days to Australia, not bad considering they were probably busy. The quickest I have ever received anything from the States has been 7 days.

It always seems to take 2 -3 weeks to get here, and longer when there is free shipping, because for some very odd reason, they send it via Switzerland!

We don't have the luxury of being able to track our parcels either, that doesn't work overseas, so we just have to sit tight and wait.

let me first admit that i start getting "antsy" 3 days after ordering something.

let me second hark back to the "good old days" when most companies' standard disclaimer was "please allow 6-8 weeks for delivery".

perspective is helpful when you're waiting.

Hancocks of Paducah is the WORST at shipping orders promptly. .They take the longest of any online merchant I have ever ordered from. At first I thought it was just me or an isolated instance ...but no every single time it wait ... wait ... and more waiting! Because they are so .....Horribly slow they are the absolute last place I will use. I have never gotten any order from them in less than 2 or more weeks. And only one was it two weeks ( this was speedy for them) Besides they are typically high priced( sales are the exception), plus shipping rates their are no bargain. To add SLOW ...REALLY... SLOW shipping is just an insult.
I spend my money where I get service.

"the worst", "horrible", "insulting"

i believe you when you say you aren't pleased by their service. however, they can't possibly be all those things or they wouldn't have the huge and loyal customer base they have.

a simple "i don't care to shop there again. they don't ship quickly enough to meet my needs." would have been clear enough.

inside voices, please. ;-)

When the prices are right and the web site photo looks identical to the fabrics, I am willing to wait. <a watched pot never boils>

I love Hancock's of Paducah.
