agree with all your comments. hgtv has lost me. guess i am "old". lol. however, i understand that my kids and grandkids have different tastes just as i did from my parents. unfortunately it means that crafting, in general, and quilting specifically will die out if we can't get them back. too bad!
nolee - you might try online at QNN or youtube, and, of course, tutes here. they all have lots of great how-to's. |
OK - you weren't kidding when you said the HGTV website was confusing!! When I went straight to it, I couldn't find anything. If you Google HGTV, it will bring up a link that says "Episodes". It's easy to follow from there to the Simply Quilts shows. It appears there are 11 episodes available.

The problem that I have in watching videos is they start and stop all through the video. I don't have high speed internet and I've been told that is why they (buffer) all the way through. You can let them load and then watch them but some of the episodes or tutes are quite long. I guess I'm just impatient and don't want to sit and wait for them to load.

There are two channels for cooking now. I only watch one cooking show "Good Eats" with Alton Brown because it is funny. Why do we need two networks of cooking shows?
I used to watch HGTV when it had good decorating shows, now its not my bag. Alex Anderson has a show on the web but they want big bucks to watch it. Im discusted with her greed. You can watch lots of Eleanor Burns shows free on her website and at the quilterstv website. |

Alex Anderson does not own the shows and I doubt HGTV will ever have them on DVD. It would be bad for their image. I heard from one of the producers that use to work for HGTV that any show that wasn't geared toward the younger modern audience was cancelled and that included all craft and needlework shows.
