Is this a good deal? I am wanting to use it for FMQ? Thanks everyone!

Seems very high to me although the table would add some value.

Gosh no! I bought my 15-91 for $12.50 at a garage sale, and you're sure to find one for around $50 if you keep looking.

It's a very common machine and that one is overpriced. People do seem like them for FMQ, but I prefer a 301. You can still get a 301 on ebay in the $100 range with $20ish for shipping. Could be some 15s, too, but I haven't looked.

$200 is way too much for this model, even if it were in pristine condition (which I very much doubt it is). Around here, $50 would be about the max. For that price you would want to make sure that the machine works and that everything is included -- including the throat plate and bobbin case.

I paid $8.00 for one in a cabinet and a bench and accessories to go with it. I would not pay that.

I live in the DFW metroplex area and bought my 15-91 off of Craig's List. I looked for a bit, and while I know others have found fantastic deals on theirs - I have never seen one priced like that in this area (I am talking under $100). Anything vintage under $100 has been in horrible condition.

I paid $150 for mine, it came in a cute table. I did test it before buying it, it sewed fine. What I didn't think to do was to check the electrical. Upon getting it home and using it, then poking around to oil/clean it - I noticed that the cords needed replacing. Not terribly expensive - but still something that needed to be done. I didn't make an offer on the one I purchased, because I am not very good/comfortable with going back and forth on this type of stuff. Looking back, if I had made an offer it would have been between $75 and $100.

I do think $200 seems a bit overpriced for that one (table will need refinishing, looks like maybe some rust on the machine, I can't see the color on the power cord - that would give a clue as to whether electrical has been replaced). Perhaps you can email the seller and find out if the electrical has been replaced?

I have attached a couple of pictures of mine. I absolutely love sewing on this machine - and FMQing just flows on it. My first top that I quilted was a king sized top. :o

If it were what I wanted I would buy it. Your money your choice.

I paid $35 for mine in excellent condition and the table is in excellent condition as well. Needs a different bobbin but they're cheap.

It seems like a high price to me. With patience and daily checking the ads I think you could do better. However, if you are anxious to have one and don't mind spending the money - go ahead! As already mentioned, the plate is there but be sure the bobbin case is there too! Also, for this price I would want some attachments and there is no mention of any.
