What an interesting thread..
I too have a big bunch of FQ... Which I have not figured what to do with... also... I have two beautiful stacks of coordinated FQ... and they are so beautiful I can hardly even think about using them!! What a silly dilemma, one bunch doesn't go together, the other bunch go together so well that I can't seem to use either one!! |
There is a book called Fat Quarter Quilts...It has a lot of pretty quilts made with fat quarters.

When I first started out I went crazy purchasing fat quarters. Now, what do I do with them? It seems like none of them go together and I am at a loss. I did use one batch of black and white fat quarters for a backing, but my others just don't lend to that. Any ideas? HELP!!!

Lots of cool ideas! I may try some of them too!

Sort them into color waves that go together and make DP9s.

So glad you asked that question, Pete. I, too, have FQs with no idea on what to do with them.......but I do now, thanks to all the great people and great suggestions!

Make a scrappy disappearing nine patch. You will have to add one center block that is common to all your nine patch blocks to make them coordinate. The fat quarters will yield 12 five inch squares and then you play with them from their. To make it real scrappy try not to make any squares the same. Only use the center block as one color and go from their.
