What do you use to store your current project?

I found small see through plastic envelopes with velcro closures at Holly Lobby. They are great for storing my triangles, squares and other pieces. They're about 4 x 6, I think and are great for keeping the pieces seperate and I can see at a glance which one to grab. I also use the zippered see through bags that sheet sets and blankets come in to store the fabric that I'm using at the time. They are great for holding all the little envelopes in and keeping everything together. I haven't been able to find these envelopes anywhere except Holly Lobby and I've looked everywhere I go because Holly Lobby is not at all close to me. I tried to post pictures but haven't figured out how to yet. I keep getting a failed message.

I use zip sandwich bags for small pieces. I have a quilt cut out right now with the pieces stored and marked as to size with a sharpie. I have all of these in a plastic bag I saved from a sheet set I bought. Also included some border fabric. Since I don't buy many sheet sets, I also use plastic Walmart, etc., bags for storage. The sandwich bags are cheap and work great. I use the gallon bags for some projects.

I like to keep the clear, heavy, zippered and handled bags that I get when I buy sheet sets or blankets. Been hoarding them for years for just the right purpose. Now that I quilt, they have come in handy to keep blocks, scraps and even notions. I can find what I need and don't even have to open them and everything inside stays clean and free of cat hair! Another see through storage item is a vinyl shoe bag, hung on the door of my sewing room. I hate rummaging through drawers and I never remember which drawer I'm supposed to be in!

I use the zip lock food storage bags quart, gallon, and the extra large will hold a project. I keep boxes of each size in my sewing room.

I really like piles on my sewing table right where I can touch them but it gets a bit overloaded. I often use those clear plastic containers you get in the grocery store like salad, strawberries, etc. for putting all the cut pieces for a project in. I usually have a couple handy for HST or squares left from cutting, helps to keep the mess tidy. For more permanent storage, I like zipper bags in a large size.

New pizzq boxes work well.

They stay out, visible and accessible. If they were 'stored' in something, even clear plastic, they'd never get finished.

I like to use the Artbin slim satchel.
