If I would want to make my own turn overs what size square would I need to start out with to cut two turn over triangles or can some one tell me what the size is of a turn over triangle? Thanks in advance.

They are six inch triangles, so is it half of a 6" square? I don't know for sure where they measure their triangle.

Or do I need to add a little extra like you do when cutting a half square triangle?

Sorry, I don't know for sure, but when I made my stack and whack I used 6" squares. I am sure Craftybear will find out for sure, if not I would take a couple of scrap fabrics and try it.

When I use turnovers, I sew them together along the long sides. Then I always use a 5 1/2 inch square to square them up. The finished size is then 5 inches. Hope this helps!

i think you add 7/8 of an inch to your square, 6" plus 7/8 .for a total of 6 7/8". works for any size square. try it on some scraps.

This would make them cut from a 6" square. Thanks!
