I'm very limited to fabric where I live.
Surely I'm not the only one.
So, heres my question to you.
Where do you shop?

I am very lucky, I live in an area that has many small and large quilt shops. I do shop for the brand names, Benartex, Wilmington, Marcus Bros. etc on line, various places.

I'm very limited as well. I either drive an hour to my favorite quilt store, or most often order from Fabric.com

If you spend over $35.00, which is easy to do, they have free shipping.

i have been doing a lot of shopping here lately. Prices are good, and you know the sellers are reputable (they are quilters). I have been trying to stop my quilt shop shopping until I use some more of my fabric.

My LQS doesn't especially cater to my tastes in fabric, so I do a lot of shopping on line. I've had really good luck with Thousands of Bolts and Quilter's Paradise, but I've also located fabric through the search engine of http://www.quiltshops.com/ and have been perfectly happy with the shops I ordered from.

I shop @ JoeAnn's, Wal-Mart, Touch of thread, Hobby Lobby.
That's enough

I buy fabric at online sales. One Walmart close by sells David's Fabrics and I buy a lot of that. The LQS that is about and hour away has clearance sales twice a year and I stock up on the basics there. I buy my thread and books online.

There is a discount store near me that sells fabric from $1.99-$4.99. Good quality, well known designers, maybe just not their latest lines. I can always find what I want.

The place is Mardens and all the Maine folks here know about it.

Thrift shops are always a good source. There is a ton of quilters fabric at my Salvation Army I go to all the time. If you cant find fabric, using the clothes to cut up is always a great idea too, I do it all the time=)
