embroider on muslin and make a quilt? Would it look tacky?
|
why wouldn't it as long as you use stablizer on the back. I think it would make a great antique quilt.

Oh good, then I'll start tonight on it. hehehehe
Also should I use a cutaway stablizer and not a wash away? |
cut away depending on the quality of muslin. or use a coffee filters
|
Okay even better I have coffee filters. Thanks for your help
|
talking to Terri on phone she suggested coffee filters (white)
|
Sound like it will be a beautiful quilt to me. Be sure to post pics along the way.
|
Machel will do. Tell Terri thank you also.
Key4unc I will post pics. When I get home tonight I'll start on that and I just might have the hubby do the embroidery while I fix a quilt. I'll be killing two birds with one stone. lol |
Renee, I have used the white coffee filters on SMALL embroidery pieces. Not big ones. I should have mentioned that to Machel when we were talking. I wouldn't use it for an entire quilt, maybe for just a few pieces to get you thru in a pinch.
But, if I had my choice, I'd use tear away. |
