Wow, that is so expensive!

Thought I'd better clarify...I bought my batting from Hancocks online.

If you go to walmart.com..the warm and natural batting for a full size is 8.00..Not sure what the shipping is to have it shipped to your door but, if you ship from store to store it is free shipping

I pay £20 ($32) for a queen size Quilters Dream Blend wadding, this is about the equivalent in quality to a Warm & Natural but I prefer it as it stays softer... I know some of my fellow English and European quilters order from the US but I prefer to keep my custom in the UK - it's more expensive I know (fabric averages £10 or $16 per metre) but I prefer to give my business to my fellow countrymen - plus if I don't use them, I'll lose them and I like being able to go to either of my two local ladies' shops and actually talk to them and see the fabric first - although I must admit I buy the wadding online but that's because they're the only UK supplier of it (Cotton Patch) and I have met them at shows and like their service. Just my personal choice... :-D

I find my 80/20 on sale at Linda electic quilters for cheap.

Thanks for all the info on where to by batts. I am always searching. Our Wal-Mart closed and moved to a supper store and doesn't sell fabric or batts.

$3.88 shipping for 4 to me, less than $1 each - yipee!

One good thing for us Canadians, our dollar is getting stronger so shopping with American retailers is definatly the way to go. Blows me away when I see the exact same item here for 18.99 a yard compared to 9.99 in the US. Needless to say I can't afford to support my LQS. I understand the buy local concept, but my money comes hard and I have to be very careful with it. Sorry LQS!

Bunniequilter, I'm the same...can't afford to buy my fabric from the LQS. I do support them, however, by buying my thread there, my needles, and I bought two Husqvarna machines there, so I figure that's the equivalent to a few years' worth if fabrIc.
