Jane, I did finally find the 16 oz floral top. I could not find a price for it! Do you remember about the cost? And thank you for this link also!

Having used a bottle of best press and had an empty bottle I used that for my spray starch.

I paid about 4.99 for it locally. It was pricey but, like I said I try them all. I cant find one on line.... so i've contacted the company for an online retailer and I am waiting to hear back.

If you have an old hair spray bottle, try that. They spray a very fine mist and that's what I use to dampen fabrics for a quick press.

I have the Niagara bottle of starch (bought at Walmart) and keep watering it down. Thanks for the formula.

My spray bottle is at least 25 years old--a Walmart bottle that holds 16 oz of starch.

Hi All,

I'm confused, are you using a powdered starch? What brand and where do you get it?
I used to use a powdered starch years ago, but haven't seen in years, I have even forgotten the brand I used. Now I just use Niagra from the dollar store. It is not as good, but it is all I've seen.
Thanks in advance.

I buy the liquid Sta-Flo in the blue 1/2 gallon bottle and dilute it (like most of us) 1 part starch to 2 parts water. Look in the detergent aisle at you local grocery store. I see where its sold at Walmart, too! I can pick up more when I look for a spray bottle!
