Hi Everyone,
We used to have a block exchange group in our neighborhood, but some of the ladies dropped out. We would have each person take turns choosing the focus piece, and each person would get 1/2 yard of that fabric. We had around 6 people participating, and then we took and used other fabrics to make enough blocks for all people participating. When we met again, each person got 1 block from each of the 6 people. Some of the ladies decided to back out for various reasons, and a couple enjoyed it but would prefer to pick out their own fabrics. My friend and I decided we would like to do seasonal or monthly wall hangings. I love table runners and thought we could do some of those. I am looking for some fun ideas that would be fun to do, but we each choose our own colors.
Any good suggestions?

Our guild does a lottery block of the month. You use your own fabric and you get to keep the block. The pattern is picked out of a book by participating members. This year we are using the book "Around the Block". Last time we did it we used "Block Tool". The book used depends upon what the members want to use. It is a good idea to use a format that offers different size blocks for the same pattern. Some of us are doing 12.5 inch blocks and some are doing 9". I am doing 4" and 6" blocks.
