Default Spent 2 hours looking for longarm rulers :(

I wish there weren't so many to chose from. I really spent 2 hours and I wanted rulers to do curved cross hatching. I ended up getting two of Deloa Jones' boomerang rulers. I watched quite a few different videos on different rulers and I think I might like these the best.
For anyone that can answer, what rulers do you used for curved cross hatching?

That was one of the places I was at. I don't know what alot of the rulers do and some of them I think are would not even be necessary to buy. I don't know, I should go watch videos on what each ruler actually can do. It was very overwhelming...lol. That should have been so easy.

I love her boomerang rulers. I also really like her circle rulers. They have the same radius on both the 'innie' and 'outie' curve so you don't have to be a contortionist to use the rulers.

Oh Heather, I so feel your pain. I stressed over it for a long time before finally buying as those rulers aren't cheap! I ended up going with Ronda's Rulers from Quilters Rule. http://www.quiltersrule.com/template...dasRulers.html Mostly because she was featured in Karen McTavish's Curved crosshatching book and accompanying DVD which I had watched before buying. Then which ones to buy. ARRGGH. I ended up buying the medium and large crescents. So far I have only used the medium but I have used it a lot. I also bought the large S. I have yet to use it.

At MQX 2 years ago, I bought Dusty Farrell's Radical Ruler Flex II. Really not too different from Ronda's medium crescent except it has a tighter radius in the arc. I use that one quite often as well.

Templates are such a huge investment you want to purchase wisely. Next on my list are a set of odd numbered circles. I have even numbered (2" through 10") Now I want 1" through 11". I would also dearly love the cable template http://www.quiltersrule.com/template...yJohnston.html but at $50.... I would rather spend that on thread and use my stencil! LOL

I was looking at her circle rulers...I couldn't decide on a size I wanted and don't have enough to buy them all so I skipped them.

I like that S ruler. That one would be fun to use I think I might get that one later on. The thing I have the hardest part with is picking the right size. I don't want to buy all of the different sizes. These rulers are so expensive and I don't want to over buy and waste the money on them. Pretty soon, I will have to buy more thread and bobbins(I'm loving those prewound bobbins). Next time I'm ahead a little bit, I think I'll just slowly buy more rulers. I'll be spending lots of time on youtube watching videos on the different ones.

I feel your pain about decisions on long rulers, but just to complicate things I can't find anyone on my side of Canada that will sell me one. off to the drawing board I go!

I bought all my LA rulers from Kimmy Brunner. They are exceptional quality, they nest and offer variety of sizes. They are cut so they slip over your ruler foot for even more sizes.
I love LOVE her Craftsy class Quilting With Templates (rulers). One of the best classes I ever took.
