If you're looking for a good, fast pattern to make for this (or any other child's) group, I suggest either the Super-Sized 9-Patch or Streak of Sunshine from Quiltville. I've used both of these patterns & you can sew one together in an afternoon. Ditto Kaye Wood's 6-Hour quilt.
