I have a 9 block top with a doggie theme. I am thinking I would like to start quilting it. But I am not sure what to put for a backing. I have a wonderful doggie fabric, but it is flannel. Will this go with a regular cotton top?

Sure Boston, its your quilt and it would be nice to have a comfy flannel side and a cotton side. I'm still pretty much a newbie though and wouldn't know about if they would shrink up at the same rate. I guess if you pre washed everything it would be ok?? There are certainly ladies on here that know...they'll tell you. Oh...wheres the pic of this top?? :D

I see no problem using flannel for the back.
If YOU like it, that's all that counts!!

Here is the pic. I had sent it before, but I can't remember what the subject line was.

Someone said a couple of weeks ago you should wash flannel at least twice and dry in dryer.

Very pretty. I think flannel would be excellent on the back, but do be sure to wash it first!!
