Question on having your sewing machine repaired.
I just had my sewing machine repaired and when I got home it sewed for 20 minutes and broke again. I took it back and they fixed it again. They told me the parts where free but I had to pay for labor again. Is this common practice?

A 'repair' shop that isn't authorized is quite different than an authorized dealer/repair store. Most dealerships have some kind of warranty on labor. I know my specific dealer has a 90 day warranty on labor. The guy with a screwdriver down the street, however.....

I did take it to an authorized dealer. And the machine was taken back with in 2 days.

If this is the case, is it still under manufacturer warranty? I would talk with them and explain that it is unacceptable for the same problem to arise so soon after having it repaired by them. I don't think it is out of the question that you shouldn't have to pay for anything on the second repair. If they didn't resolve this to my satisfaction, I would contact the manufacturer.
