The owner of the quilt should get copy of information about the results of show. But the prize etc is to the person who designed and made it.

what would be the case if the owner claimed work was their's by putting it in a show under their name without informing the maker?

You can give the owner a picture of your quilt with the ribbon on it so that person can say she has a blue ribbon quilt. :-) That's my opinion but I've never dealt with this kind of an issue. Congratulations on having created such a great quilt!

Great solution!

I see trophies at estate sales. It always makes me sad. But I know not everything can be kept.
