Sharpening scissors
#1
What's the best way to sharpen scissors (using the diy approach)? I have my Mom's sewing scissors and I like them, but they're duller than I'd like. She didn't use them much that I recall, but they're probably 30-40 years old.

Fiskar makes a great scissor sharpener. It looks like a small book, maybe 4 x 5. You put your left hand on the top of the sharpener and with your right hand, you insert the scissors into the two small slots and work the scissors back and forth like you are cutting something. Wal Mart used to carry them and the cost was about $6.00. Other than that, a professional is best.
