I live in Michigan and cant find 505 basting spray. I hear it's the best and was really wanting to get some. I found some on line but it was sooooo costly... any suggestions where to go (be nice) and what is a good price for the stuff????? Also anyone use anything other than the 505 with good results???
Thank you very much in advance because I just know you sweet ladies will help. :-D

side note... latest pic of our little valentine.

I've used other brands just fine *except* that they stink to high heaven and really, really need excellent ventilation. I would prefer to use those outside, to be honest. 505 and I think it's the Sulky environmental brand are the only ones that don't smell incredibly bad. 505, even though it doesn't smell, is not good to breathe in and still needs ventilation.

if necessary, use your cheaper basting spray outdoors. use a folding table.

I use Sullivans....however you do need adequate ventilation and try not to overspray. I prefer this one to others.

I have used Sullivans and 505. They both work well but 505 doesn't smell as bad.

Ok. I think I have it. My husband just had bypass surgery, and any strong odors might start him coughing. I think I will just try the 505 simply for that reason. When the weather is nice I could use the other one by just going out in the yard... but for now it's 505.
Thank you for the joann link to it. I tried to find it in the store, but they didnt have it, and I guess I didnt search very well on their site. It's still kinda costly, but I am going to try it anyway. Anything to keep me off the floor and hand basting... it's got to be good!!!
Thanks to everyone for your help, and I will keep a watch on this if anyone has more to tell me.
