Default Quick quilt need help quilting?

I have not quilted in years and have to finish 3 kids quilts for Easter. Can someone suggest the quickest quilting for this on a fleece backing. I do not free motion well at all. Thanks for any suggestions. Diane

A simple cross hatch always works. Quick and easy

Not to sound like a broken record (I posted this tip in another post!), but tying works. When I started quilting I either tied them or hand quilted. You don't have time for the latter!

Some kind of pattern with straight lines.

Use your walking foot and straight line anywhere and everywhere you think it needs it.

I vote for tying -- fleece on the back (without batting) does not need as much to keep it from shifting, and is more likely to bunch up on the back when machine quilted.

I would do rows of the serpentine stitch.

My question would be "What kind of batting do you have?" That would determine the amount of quilting that would be needed. I use Warm and Natural and I can quilt as far as 10 inches (usually stick to 5-6 inches). Hope this helps.

I have made a few jelly roll race quilts with fleece backing. I used spray adhesive to put the quilt and the fleece together. It is true that you won't have to do a lot of quilting as there is no batting and no restrictions. You just want to keep the fleece from shifting. All suggestions are good. I believe having fleece on the back helps speed up the process. Also, if you "google" 5-minute and 10-minute blocks, you will find something that is quick and easy to make and the blocks are as large as you want them and will not need a lot of quilting. Good luck.
