After seeing that good deal on the Grace New Gen frame here on QB last week, we snapped one up. At the price offered, it was too hard to resist.

The Fedex guy stopped by today and dropped off two boxes.

Now they're sitting out in the garage. I want to tear into them, but Cindy's in no hurry to get to cleaning up the sewing room and rearranging it to fit in the frame.

I think she thinks I'm too far behind on all my other stuff to take on a new toy right now.

So I guess I'd better get back to work.

I'm so excited for you. When I got mine it sat for a week before I got the nerve to try to put it together. You are going to have so much fun with it.

I just got a new Little Gracie II a few weeks ago and 80% of it was put together by my son & I within 48 hrs. A few little parts came thru broken and I had to call the Grace co (great to deal with) they just arrived yesterday. Now I can finish my new and 1st frame..woohoo

Congratulations, you will love it. It just put my mega quilter on a frame and it is great. I especially love the no basting!!! For me it is a large learning curve, am still practicing. Good luck with it.

My Imperial frame came with twice as many boxes and took the expert from the store 6 hours to put it togather.
A million screws and way to complicated for this old lady to try and put togather.
It is huge and takes up my whole dining room space.
But I love it.

Well, this morning we got a big enough space cleared in the sewing room for the frame, and I started putting it together.

After working on it a good part of the afternoon, it's about half done or maybe a little more and my back hurts, so I'm grilling pork chops and drinking wine now.

So far, only three missing pieces and two broken ones, so I guess a call to the vendor will be in order on Monday.

Nothing critical though so I'll finish tomorrow and it'll run without those if everything else is ok.

Can't wait to get the 9 inch Megaquilter on there and try it out!

Cindy's already given me a big tote full of tops to quilt, but I think it'll require a lot of practice before I tackle anything real.

I was looking at the video that came with it, and it seems the Warm Company has a practice pack with a plain top, backing and batting just for practice, all bundled. I think I'll have to check into pricing on those.
