Default Help needed for yardage amount

Just saw the great tutorial from Missouri Quilt Company for a single Irish Chain. Her quilt was a king. I'm interested in doing a full/queen and dipping into my scraps rather than use precut jelly rolls. Can anyone give me a guidance to how much light background yardage I would need to be used in both the solid 6 1/2" blocks and used within the colored scrap 9 patch? Thanks for any light you can shed my way.

Here's a site with measurements for all sizes of Irish Chain. Scroll down about half way http://www.askpennyhalgren.com/IKM/q...Chain+quilt%3F
