    Smile The quilt show???

has anyone joined this site to watch different quilt techniques? I just cane across this site and it looks interesting but don't know if it is worth spending the money to watch shows on quilting. They want 9.99 for a months trial or 42.99 for a year..I didn't know if it was worth paying to watch quilting video as you can find a lot of quilting video on you tube for free. anyone have some thoughts on this show? Thanks

    thequiltshow.com

    Thanks...

I think you just missed the free weekend if you are a basic member. I am a basic member but I didn't watch this year since I was unandated last year with ads on my email. They do have some good segments on nationally known quilters with tips and techniques.

There are so many u-tube videos that are free, I just don't pay for anything unless it is a class.

I am a charter member from the start in 2007. The shows are classes. I pay more then $49 for one class at a LQS or guild workshop. Be sure you have a strong internet service for uninterrupted streaming.

Wow, sounds expensive to me. If I paid that much, I'd want to watch it over and over. There is too much on the internet that is free, so I don't think I'd join.

You can watch them over and over. I too am a charter member and as such have access to everything from it's inception to the most current show, plus teaching videos from the best in the business- to me it's an in depth online video magazine with additional features.

I am a member and enjoy it a lot. As a member you can watch any of the show segments whenever you want. I find myself going back to certain patterns and techniques when I work on that type of project. I also find myself watching different segments with new topics that open my horizon into the quilting art world. To me, it is worth it.

There are always teacher DVDs open to the membership and they are really helpful.
